Purpose

The GTCC is an organization aimed at collaborating with community associations within the Lutherville/Timonium/Cockeysville area (as defined by our boundaries) in policy decision-making to maintain, and improve the integrity and quality of residential life by uplifting residents, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations throughout our geographic area.

As an advisory Board, the GTCC will focus on representing our member homeowner, HOA, community associations and business ambassadors in legislative and policy-making decisions at both the local and state levels. We welcome individuals and businesses within our boundaries to be a part of these discussions.

The Maryland Senate honored Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier

for her decades of work in both chambers of the General Assembly.

Klausmeier was selected by the Baltimore County Council to serve as the jurisdiction’s acting executive following the resignation of Johnny Olszewski Jr., a Democrat who was elected to the House of Representatives in November. She is the first woman to lead the county in that role.

Olszewski resigned on Jan. 3 — the same day he took the congressional oath of office. Klausmeier became county executive on Jan. 7, one day before she was to head to Annapolis for the 447th legislative session.

On behalf of the Board of the Greater Timonium Community Council, congratulations on such a well deserved and distinguished honor. We look forward to working with you, and your proven track record of understanding the needs of your constituents.
